Alpine skis rental for Elbrus: what to know
Alpine skis are intended for lift-served resort skiing, not ski touring. Tell us your height, weight, ability and preferred terrain so the rental team can prepare a suitable pair and binding setup from current stock.
How to choose alpine skis
- Send height, weight and honest skiing level before collection.
- Confirm whether you need skis only or a complete skis, boots and poles set.
- Describe the resort terrain you expect to ski rather than choosing by appearance alone.
What to check before you rent
- Have the rental team set and verify the bindings for the supplied boot.
- Inspect bases, edges, brakes and bindings before leaving.
- Confirm the return time and what to do if conditions or plans change.
How to choose alpine skis for Mount Elbrus
Alpine-ski rental includes skis with bindings. Boots and poles remain separate unless a complete set is selected. The final pair is chosen from the available stock after staff know the rider and the actual boots that will be used.
Describe the skier accurately
Send height, weight and an honest description of ability. Useful information includes whether the rider is learning to stop and turn, links controlled parallel turns, or rides prepared pistes confidently. Do not select an advanced label as an upgrade: a demanding ski can make learning and speed control harder.
Length is a range, not a formula
Height gives an initial range, while weight, ability, ski construction and intended piste use affect the final choice. A photograph cannot show flex or suitability. Staff select an available pair for the person rather than guarantee a particular brand, color or model.
Bring both personal boots
If using personal ski boots, bring both to the shop. The sole length and condition must be inspected and the boots checked in the actual bindings. Street-shoe size, a photograph or the size printed inside the boot does not prove compatibility.
Boot-only and ski-only requests still require a system check
Renting skis without boots does not remove the need for a fitting. Staff still need the actual boots before issue. If the boots cannot be checked, the ski setup should not be treated as confirmed.
Inspect the skis at collection
Look along both skis and inspect bases, edges, top surfaces, brakes and bindings with the rental team. Record existing scratches or chips in the issue document. Confirm that the left and right brakes move freely and that the boots step into and release from the bindings during the staff check.
Do not change the setup
Do not move binding components, copy settings from another pair or exchange boots after preparation. If a binding, brake or ski behaves unusually, stop and contact Rock’N’Rent. An improvised repair can conceal a fault and change the condition recorded at issue.
What to add separately
Poles, ski boots, helmet, goggles, gloves and clothing are separate unless the confirmed request says otherwise. Review the calculator list before sending it so that a ski photograph or a package name does not create an assumption about included accessories.
Reservation and collection
Send dates and rider data in advance, especially for groups and unusual sizes. An item shown in the catalog is not confirmed stock for your dates. The exact pair, price and collection details are confirmed by the rental team in Terskol.
Bindings must be adjusted by competent rental staff. Resort equipment, protective gear and personal ability do not remove mountain or piste risk.
Add it to the calculator, then adjust days and quantity
The calculator uses the same live daily price shown on this page. In winter, one 10% discount applies for four days or more, or for more than four complete sets; discounts do not stack. Summer equipment has no automatic long-rental discount. Availability, fit and the final deposit are confirmed by Rock’N’Rent.
