The two ranges cover many adult and junior head sizes, but the number is only the starting point. The helmet should stay stable when you lean forward and still work with a hat, hood and headlamp.

How to choose a TITAN helmet size
TITAN is a durable ABS-shell helmet for mountaineering, climbing and training. Its two size ranges overlap, so choose by shell depth and stability on the individual head rather than the number on the box. Do not move automatically to the larger size for winter: first test whether the smaller shell retains a correct fit with a thin hat and hood.
Pre-purchase check. Set the helmet level, adjust the suspension and fasten the chin strap. It must not slide over the eyes or expose the forehead when you bend and turn. Inspect the ABS shell, suspension, straps and four headlamp clips. Reject a helmet with impact history, cracks, crushing, damaged webbing or an adjustment system that slips.
Compare before choosing
Compare TITAN with other helmets on the same head, using the same thin hat, hood, eyewear and headlamp. A lighter or more ventilated model is not automatically a better fit, and a larger shell is not automatically warmer.
