The format suits bulky expedition luggage, but it is not a trekking backpack for sustained carrying. The straps are mainly useful for short transfers between transport and accommodation.

It has no full trekking suspension, so carrying an 80-liter load for a long approach is less comfortable than using a correctly fitted backpack.
