Gear for Mount Elbrus: rental calculator, price list and checklist
Choose an Elbrus or Kazbek route. The calculator loads a starter list of rentable personal items and estimates the rental cost. It is not a complete packing list: review Bring or buy and Group equipment, then check the current requirements from your guide.
- 70 rental items in one calculator
- Daily USD estimate
- Route-specific personal gear presets
- Telegram reservation list
Summer climbing and winter skiing are different trips
Choose the season first. Then select a program or build a simple custom list without mixing summer mountaineering and winter resort gear.

Sizing details for the rental team
These fields do not calculate or recommend a size on screen. If you send the Telegram request, the values are included so the rental team can prepare likely options. Final boot size, model and crampon compatibility are confirmed only after fitting.
How to measure for rental gear →Used only when you send the requestThey are copied into Telegram with the selected equipment, quantities and rental days. Entering them alone does not reserve equipment or change the price.
The calculator list is not an automatic reservation. We confirm availability, sizes, dates, final price and payment terms in writing. At collection, we complete a rental agreement and an issued-item record.
Rental rules, documents and deposit values →This is a planning estimate. Route, season, forecast, the current program and your guide determine the final equipment list. Sizes, stock, deposit and final amount are confirmed before collection.
A practical Mount Elbrus south-route starting point
The default starts at four days with a starter set of rentable south-route items, including gaiters. It is a pricing starting point, not a complete personal packing list. Lowa Expedition 6000 boots are the initial option; change the model after fitting.
It is a planning tool, not a substitute for your guide’s final equipment check. Route, season, forecast and personal clothing can change the list. Group equipment and items already included by a program are shown separately and are not charged.
Current Mount Elbrus prices without maintaining two catalogs
Our team edits one base price list. The English calculator refreshes its US-dollar prices automatically once a day, while an administrator can run a manual update at any time.
The downloadable price checklist uses the same current catalog. Summer and winter rules remain separate: winter receives one 10% discount from four days or for more than four complete sets, while the supplied summer rules do not document an automatic long-rental discount. Availability, sizes, deposit and final payment are confirmed before collection.

What gear is essential for climbing Elbrus?
A typical south-route list includes suitable mountaineering boots, crampons, a classic ice axe, helmet, harness, warm layered clothing, waterproof outerwear, gloves, headlamp, eye protection, trekking poles and a daypack. A personal ice screw is added to the north-route preset and to route presets that cross crevassed glacier terrain. Confirm the final list with your guide.
Can I rent Mount Elbrus gear in Terskol?
Yes. Rock’N’Rent is based in Terskol and rents mountaineering, trekking, camping, ski and snowboard equipment. Reserve in advance so we can confirm sizes and availability.
How does the program preset work?
Choose the route first. The calculator selects compatible rentable personal items from that program’s current equipment list. South-to-south starts at four rental days, south-to-north traverses and Cross programs at five, and north-start, east, west and Kazbek presets at six. The ski-tour preset starts at four days and remains separate from piste skiing. Remove anything you already own before sending the list.
Why are English prices shown in dollars?
The calculator displays whole-dollar estimates for easier planning. Availability, deposit and the final amount are confirmed before collection.
Is the PDF built from my calculator selection?
No. The downloadable PDF is the full current Mount Elbrus rental price list and a blank printable checklist. It is generated with the live catalog prices and exchange rate when downloaded. Use “Print / save selected list” inside the calculator for the items you selected.
